# Base Station Gear Setup

## Setting Up the Base Station

1. Ensure that the following items were included in your kit:&#x20;

2. In addition to your NAV RTK BASE gear, you will also need:&#x20;

   1. IF1200 or IF800 with Herelink Blue GCS
   2. A laptop with Mission Planner or QGC installed&#x20;
   3. A tripod (recommended >6.5 ft high)

3. Remove the Base Station and USB C Power cable from their packaging.

2. Screw the base station onto your tripod of choice using the ¼” or ⅜” adapters if necessary.

3. Set up your tripod in your desired location, and plug the USB-C cable into the base station.

4. Level the tripod to the best possible degree. Then raise the tripod to a height for best best signal strength (recommended at least 6.5 feet high). Ensure the tripod is stable and will hold up against any wind.

5. Connect the base station to a Laptop via the USB-C cable. The base station will light up when powered on.

6.
