# IF1200 Dovetail Kit with Lightweight Damping Kit Installation

## Attaching the Lightweight Pro Damping Kit to the IF1200

1. Remove the Dovetail Kit from its packaging and ensure that all parts are present.

2. Unscrew the thumbscrew from the quick release until it clicks open. Press the button on the side to remove the bottom of the quick release from the damping plate.

3. Place the bottom of the quick release onto the dovetail cage and secure using the 4 M3 x 6mm Screws. Make sure to apply loctite.

IMPORTANT: On each dovetail arm, there are 2 flathead screws (red) and 1 hex screw (blue) embedded in their respective holes. While supporting the weight of the dovetail, the flathead screws must be installed first. Instructions are in the following step

4. Secure one side of the dovetail cage. Using a flathead driver, secure the two screws on the panel connector in parallel, alternating turning each by 1-2 turns. Then secure the retained screw using a 1.5mm hex driver.

5. Repeat on the second side.

6. If there are any thumb screws or socket screws present on the rail mounts, remove them by hand or with a 2.5mm hex driver respectively.

7. Place the damping plate onto the payload rails. The recommended method is to raise the damping plate onto the rails at a slight angle, then twist to snap into place.

8. Slide the PDK forward and rotate the clamps over the payload rails.

9. Remove the 4 thumb screws from the bag and partially secure the rail clamps with these screws. Make sure to alternate between screws so that all the screw holes remain aligned. Don’t tighten all the way.

10. Slide the PDK back, ensuring it is centered with the drone. Then, ensure the rail mounts are positioned correctly and tighten the thumb screws. Recenter the damping plate and secure the 8 bottom M3 x 6mm screws.

11. Slide on the dovetail cage until it clicks into place. Fully tighten the thumb screw on the quick release.

12. The IF1200 Dovetail Kit is now fully installed.
