Propeller Floating Screw Replacement

Tools Required:

• 2.5 mm Hex Screwdriver

Step 1: Remove Propeller(s) From Aircraft

Unscrew the 2 floating screws that secure the propeller to the motor using a 2.5mm Hex Screwdriver. Do this for each propeller.

Step 2: Remove Floating Screws from Propeller(s)

Partially unscrew the 2 floating screws while pulling away from the propeller to get the threads started. This may be easier to do by hand. Do not unscrew the center screw in the propeller assembly.

Once the floating screws catch the thread, use a 2.5mm Hex Screwdriver to fully remove the floating screws from the propeller assembly. You will know when the floating screws catch the thread when flipping the propeller upside down does not affect the position of the floating screws.

Step 3: Installing New Floating Screws into Propeller(s)

Completely screw both SHCPS, 16mm LG, M3x4mm Screws into the now empty holes in the propeller assembly using a 2.5 mm Hex Screwdriver.

Step 4: Test Floating Screws are Installed Properly

Check that the socket head of each screw should fall into the counterbored holes in the washer of the propeller assembly. Each screw should be able to float freely in the assembly. If either of these conditions are not met, do not use that propeller to fly. Instead, contact Inspired Flight for more instructions to correctly put together the propeller assembly.
