Stock IF800 Damping Plate
The IF800 Tomcat comes pre-configured with a dovetail payload mounting interface beneath the vehicle for mounting a wide variety of payloads.
Attaching Payload with Dovetail Connector
The aircraft must be powered OFF while payloads are being attached.
1
With no payload installed and the aircraft powered OFF, locate the red dovetail clamp and rotate it towards the front of the aircraft, releasing the clamp mechanism.

2
Slide the dovetail of the payload into the dovetail mount side until it clicks into place.

3
Rotate the red dovetail clamp towards the rear of the IF800 Tomcat, locking the payload into place.

Removing the Damping Plate & Dovetail Assembly
1
Using a 2.5mm hex driver, remove the four screws indicated holding the damping plate to the damping plate braces.

2
Supporting the hanging damping plate / dovetail assembly, carefully use a 1.5mm hex driver to loosen the two retained screws, partially holding the connectors to the panel, as shown.
3
Using a small flathead screwdriver, loosen the four screws shown, one revolution at a time, alternating between screws until the connectors are free from the panel.
It is important not to loosen any individual screw fully, as the screw being loosened can bend the opposite tightened screw.
