# IF800 Pre-flight Checklist

The following is a recommended pre-flight checklist for IF800 pilots. Ultimately it is the responsibility of the operator and the Pilot in Command to establish their own pre-flight procedures and checklists, and to routinely enforce them.

CAUTION! While aircraft and hand controller are powered on, to avoid accidental arming of the aircraft, ensure the hand controller isn’t being touched or manipulated.

## Pre-flight Checklist

* [ ] Landing Gear are firmly attached with the retention pins engaged and thumb screws tightened.
* [ ] Propeller locks are removed.
* [ ] Arms are fully extended and locked into position, with orange indicators aligned horizontally.
* [ ] Payload is firmly attached, locked and/or tightened down (if applicable).
* [ ] **Both batteries are at the same charge level and in an active state (flashing green or solid blue).**
* [ ] Both batteries are firmly attached to the aircraft, with the battery lock in the horizontal position.
* [ ] Propeller blades are extended.
* [ ] Aircraft launch area is on level ground, clear of nearby hazards.
* [ ] HereLink antennas and joysticks are firmly attached.
* [ ] HereLink is powered on and has more than 50% battery remaining.
* [ ] Open the HereLink Settings App and navigate to the Remote ID tab.
* [ ] Aircraft is powered on.
* [ ] Open your Inspired Ground Control (IGC) and allow the parameters to load.
* [ ] Communication link with HereLink established and telemetry data is being reported.
* [ ] GPS connection is healthy and HDOP is below 1.0.
* [ ] Confirm attitude and compass orientation telemetry match aircraft.
* [ ] Video feed is coming through clearly and payload responding to input.
* [ ] Aircraft is in a Ready State, IGC reporting “Ready to Fly” and rear lights are flashing green.&#x20;
* [ ] Launch area is clear of personnel.
* [ ] All 4 motors spool up (upon arming and prior to throttle up).
