Updating LR1 Mavcam Firmware
These are the instructions for updating Mavcam versions v0.0.2 or later. Follow this process when updating IGC.
Confirm that the Sony ILX-LR1 Payload Version has LR1 Mavcam version 0.0.2 or later using the steps below. If you have version 0.0.1 or version 0.0.0 please contact IFT Customer Success for help with updating your Sony ILX-LR1.
Updating from LR1 Mavcam version 0.0.2 or Later
Verify that IGC is updated to IGC version 1.3 or later. How to update.
Download LR1 Mavcam firmware version 0.1.10 here to your computer.
Transfer the download to an SD card. Eject the SD card from your PC.
Plug the SD card into the SD Card adapter that came with your LR1. It can be difficult to remove the SD Card from the Herelink SD Card slot. If you are having issues with the SD card, please review the instructions at the bottom of the page.
Attach your Sony ILX-LR1 to the aircraft and turn on the system.

Insert the SD card into the included SD card adapter and plug into the USB mini port on the Herelink.
Navigate to the Vehicle Setup menu by tapping on the IFT logo in the top left.

Confirm that the ILX-LR1 version is version 0.0.2 or later. If not do no proceed with this update.

Confirm that the Sony ILX-LR1 Payload Version is version 0.0.2 or later. If you have version 0.0.1 or version 0.0.0 please contact IFT Customer Success for help with updating your Sony ILX-LR1.
Go to ILX-LR1 Payload tab and select Browse Firmware File. Select the downloaded firmware file from the SD Card.

Select Flash Firmware to begin the update.
Do not turn off the Drone while the firmware is updating.

Wait for the firmware update to complete (Progress: Done will be displayed)

Reboot your aircraft.
Your LR1 is now updated. The SD card can be removed.
If your SD card was not recognized by the Herelink, please follow the steps below to format your SD card.
Plug SD card adapter with SD card into the Herelink
Swipe down from the top of the screen, and select the corrupted card.


After ensuring no important files are on the SD card, select "Erase & Format".

Once complete, select Done.

The SD card is now formatted and ready to accept the Mavcam firmware file. Go back to step 3 in the instructions at the top of the page, and download the firmware file to the SD card.
