Geotagging LR1 Images in IGC

  1. If using a Herelink GCS, ensure your SD Cards are formatted to FAT32 by following the steps below.

    1. Geotagging is not possible without this format type, this ensures the SD card is readable by both the Herelink and the Sony LR1

  2. Micro-USB to USB / SD Card Adapter

    1. The LR1 has a full size SD card while the Blue Herelink accepts a micro SD card. In order to geotag images with the existing full size SD card an adapter is needed (example linkarrow-up-right). This adapter will enable LR1 to geotag images with any controller.

  3. Format SD card to FAT32 (using Herelink Controller):

    1. Plug SD card into any herelink controller.

    2. A prompt will appear asking you to “fix” the SD card

    3. This will format the card to FAT32 and erase all data on the card in the process
