Troubleshooting

Altum PT / RedEdge-P Single

Camera is not powered on / has no flashing lights
  • Occasionally, the camera will not fully initialize on bootup. Press and hold the power button on the bottom of the camera for ~1 second to reboot and power on the camera.

  • If the camera reboot did not work, remove the camera from the dovetail and reinsert, ensuring a secure connection (click into place, handle clamped down).

Camera has Flashing Red light

This is caused by an error within the camera itself. Connect to the camera over wifi (See Applying Camera Software Settings) and look for any error present on screen. Run through the setup instructions again to verify all settings are properly configured.

Camera is not taking pictures (no blue light)
  • First ensure there is no USB-C cable plugged into the aircraft.

  • This is most commonly caused by the capture settings being set incorrectly. Run through the section Applying Camera Software Settings again and confirm the capture settings are properly configured.

  • If the issue still persists, ensure the drone parameters are set properly. Run through the section Applying Aircraft Software Settings then try again.

  • If the issue continues to occur, manually verify these parameters in IGC (Vehicle Setup > Parameters). Try rebooting the aircraft to get these parameters to apply.

  • If this has still not fixed the issue, there may be a faulty component. Contact Customer Success.

RedEdge-P Dual

Cameras are not powered on / has no flashing lights
  • Occasionally, the camera will not fully initialize on bootup. Press and hold the power button on the bottom of both cameras for ~1 second to reboot and power on the cameras.

  • If the camera reboot did not work, remove the cameras from the dovetail and reinsert, ensuring a secure connection (click into place, handle clamped down).

Cameras have Flashing Red lights

This is caused by an error within the camera itself. Connect to the camera over wifi (See Applying Camera Software Settings) and look for any error present on screen. Run through the setup instructions again to verify all settings are properly configured.

One or Both Cameras are not taking pictures (no blue light)
  • First ensure there is no USB-C cable plugged into the aircraft.

  • If only one of the cameras is taking pictures, the DLS cable is likely plugged in incorrectly. Confirm that the thicker split end is plugged into the main camera (towards the front of the drone) and the thinner cable is plugged into the auxiliary camera (towards the rear). If you are unsure which cable goes where, try switching them to see if the issue is fixed.

  • If both cameras are not taking pictures, it is most likely caused by the capture settings being set incorrectly. Run through the section Applying Camera Software Settings again and confirm the capture settings are properly configured.

  • If the issue still persists, ensure the drone parameters are set properly. Run through the section Applying Aircraft Software Settings then try again.
