## Attaching the R3Pro to the IF800

1. Before attaching the R3 Pro, release and move the damping plate to position 3 on the payload rails, securing the two clamps

<figure><img src="https://240141666-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FhMePZ0UIa6VYv9VbYu4u%2Fuploads%2F9uLmhsR1gvPAnsGzYhcJ%2FScreen%20Shot%202025-05-20%20at%204.55.48%20PM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=261fc8dd-2afa-4247-a145-1c2807cf48f3" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Ensure that the red dovetail clamp is rotated to the released position

<figure><img src="https://240141666-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FhMePZ0UIa6VYv9VbYu4u%2Fuploads%2FWKO9sgko1uVTryQwqVxS%2FScreen%20Shot%202025-05-20%20at%204.56.25%20PM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=d70eb46b-55e3-4b93-bae3-6f188e4c0463" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Align the Smart Dovetail Adapter with the dovetail cage. Slide into the dovetail cage until it clicks into place

<figure><img src="https://240141666-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FhMePZ0UIa6VYv9VbYu4u%2Fuploads%2F766zOZAkefj5hEzl10g8%2FScreen%20Shot%202025-05-20%20at%204.57.19%20PM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=da6dd2a6-9c42-4734-bed8-385521b76433" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. Rotate the red dovetail clamp towards the rear of the aircraft, locking the payload into place. Adjusting the tension via the screw on the clamp may be necessary to ensure a secure connection.

<figure><img src="https://240141666-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FhMePZ0UIa6VYv9VbYu4u%2Fuploads%2FimUEpy0H2YPlygFGm7F8%2FScreen%20Shot%202025-05-20%20at%204.59.01%20PM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=ad87725a-2606-473e-b14e-c0bd7f0f0ba9" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
