Emergency Procedures
While exceedingly rare, any operation can turn into an emergency. It is highly recommended that all personnel involved in UAS operation and especially persons who will be the Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) read this chapter in full.
This section covers a list of emergency situation examples which would require immediate and direct action by the Pilot in Command. As the Pilot in Command, it is your direct responsibility to ensure the safety of the people in the operating area, assets on the ground, and the unmanned aircraft system. Whenever an abnormal situation arises the Pilot in Command should immediately take over direct control of the aircraft if they are not already the person manipulating the controls.
Pilots are also encouraged to familiarize themselves with the FAA guidelines on what to do in emergency situations: https://www.faa.gov/uas/advanced_operations/emergency_situations
Operators are highly encouraged to notify Inspired Flight Technologies immediately of any incident involving an IFT aircraft, provide flight logs if available, and share information that may help prevent other similar incidents in the future.
If any other anomaly or unexpected failure occurs, please contact Inspired Flight.
