Do NOT unplug the IB388 Batteries from their charger unless the IMARS D300 charger states “IDLE”. Doing so may damage the batteries.
Charging multiple IB388 Batteries on one D300 charger can lead to charging errors in addition to slower charging times. It is recommended to charge one battery per charger.
STEP | ACTION |
---|---|
1 | Ensure the IMARS D300 Charger is plugged into a 120VAC outlet and is in the idle state. |
2 | Press the Battery Indicator Button on the IB388 Battery to wake up the battery. It will start flashing green. NOTE: Sometimes the center button can be difficult to press and more force is required. |
Note | Status LED should flash green. |
3 | Plug in the yellow XT60 into the CHA port on the D300. |
4 | Next connect the IB388 to the battery connector of the charge cable. |
A Pop-up window will appear asking you to Confirm the battery is IB388.
5 | Press the Up arrow then Enter/Setting button to select ‘Yes’. Charing will begin. |
6 | Verify the IMARS D300 is charging. The charger will display:
|
7 | Verify the IB388 Battery Light is Solid Blue to indicate Charging. |
NOTE: Light may flash blue at any time throughout the charge for cell balancing. This is normal. |
8 | The charge is completed once the charger has gone into an idle state. |
WARNING: Disconnecting the charger plug while the battery is charging may damage the battery. |
9 | If you need to cancel charging stop the charger first by selecting the Enter/Setting button until it shows the battery has entered 'idle's state before unplugging the battery. |
NOTE: "Charging #%" on the chargers can be inaccurate. Best practice is to wait until the charger has gone to an idle state and then check the State of Charge using and /or LED indicators.
