Updating HereLink Software

There are several apps and settings that can be updated on your HereLink Ground Controller. Follow the corresponding steps to verify your controller and HereLink Ground Unit are updated to the latest version.

Updating HereLink Settings App

STEP	ACTION
1	Navigate to the HereLink Settings app, navigate to the “Air Unit” tab on the top right.
2	In the HereLink Settings app, navigate to the “Air Unit” tab on the top right. NOTE: Wait for the fields to populate, about 5 - 10 seconds.
3	Press the “update this app” at the bottom of the page.
4	Once completed restart the app by pressing the square button in the lower left of the screen and swipe the HereLink Settings App window to the right.

Updating the HereLink Settings OTA App

STEP	ACTION
1	Navigate to the HereLink Settings.
2	In the HereLink Settings app, navigate to the “Air Unit” tab on the top right. NOTE: Wait for the fields to populate, about 5-10 seconds.
3	Press the “update OTA app” at the bottom of the page.
4	Once completed restart the app by pressing the square button in the lower left of the screen and swipe the HereLink settings App window to the right.

Updating and Verifying the Air Unit Firmware

STEP	ACTION
1	Navigate to the HereLink Settings.
2	In the HereLink Settings app, navigate to the “Air Unit” tab on the top right. NOTE: Wait for the fields to populate, about 5 - 10 seconds.
3	Verify if you have the latest version by checking if the “Online” and “Local” firmware numbers match.
4	Tap the “Download Air Firmware” button. This will take several minutes.
5	Tap the “Transfer to Air Unit” button. This will take several minutes.
6	Tap the “Update Air Unit” button. This will take several minutes.
7	Once the progress bar reads “Done”, tap anywhere to close the window.
8	Once completed power off the aircraft.

Updating the Hand Controller

STEP	ACTION
1	Connect the HereLink Ground Unit to a power source.
2	Connect HereLink Ground Unit to WiFi.
3	Open the Android Settings app.
4	Select the “About Phone” section at the bottom of the settings tab.
5	Select “System Updates”.
6	Select “CHECK FOR UPDATE”.
7	Select “UPDATE”.
